Arrival/checking in is possible from 13.00 ( 1pm) o’clock until 18.00 (6pm) o’clock, please inform us as soon as possible when about you plan to arrive. Check-out time is 10.00 o’clock in the morning.

How to get there:

By Car:
Coming from Munich on Motorway A 8 take exit Bad Reichenhall, stay on B20 until you arrive at the main trainstation (Hauptbahnhof) Berchtesgaden. There you leave the roundabout in direction of Schönau and follow the road right up the hill for about 1km until you reach a little road called Steinwandweg which enters from the left hand side. Take this little road upwards about 100 m and then left into Forstwinklweg until its end. And – there you are.

Important note in wintertime: as the house is located on a hill please make sure you will have snow chains at hand or winter-tires and 4 wheeldrive. The Village of Schönau does its best to keep the roads clear of snow as far as possible but once in a while there are days in winter with that havy snowfall when it is only possible to access Schönau and the house with chains and/or 4wheel-drive.

By Train:
From main trainstation (Hauptbahnhof) Berchtesgaden take a Taxi (about 10 Euro) or take a bus Linie Schönau (843) to the stop (Haltestelle) Ahorn. From there are 3 minutes to go, but note, the last 100 m are really hilly!

If you use google-maps: the route will be shown automatically via Austria which is marginally faster, but you have to have the Austrian motorway vignette, as the route follows the toll motorway. If you want to stay on the German side pls. draw the route with your mouse at the city of Bad Reichenhall somewhat downwords (south) and you get the above routs which is the convenient way.
